Murfreesboro, TN - The Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra's FREE CONCERT has been moved inside tonight. It will be at the Belle Aire Baptist Church, 1307 N Rutherford Blvd, Murfreesboro.

Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra's CEO Jane McNulty said, "The Hispanic Heritage Month concert remains at 7:00PM o’clock tonight (Friday, 9/27/2024), but with the rain from Hurricane Helen in the weather forecast, the decision was made to move it from the outdoor venue at the Fountains, to instead be inside at Belle Aire Baptist."

Lalo Davila, a Latin percussionist and MTSU graduate, will be conducting the concert and he adds a special touch. His passion and expertise will shine through in the performance.

The Hispanic Heritage tribute is such a meaningful theme. It’s essential to recognize and honor the contributions of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced our nation and society. Music has a unique way of bridging cultures and connecting people.

And let’s not forget that this concert marks the opening of the Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra’s 43rd season! Founded back in 1981 by Dr. Laurence Harvin, the TPO has truly grown over the years, serving the entire Middle Tennessee region. Their commitment to education, especially reaching out to young artists, is commendable. Music education can be transformative, and they’re investing in the next generation of musicians.

If you’re attending tonight, enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and the sense of community. And for those who haven’t experienced a TPO concert yet, this could be a fantastic opportunity to discover the magic of live orchestral music.

Again, tonight's FREE TPO concert has been moved from the outdoor venue at The Fountains to instead be inside at Belle Aire Baptist Church, 1307 N Rutherford Blvd, Murfreesboro.  The concert time remains at 7:00PM!
