(RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN) If you enjoy a good game of golf, then you should consider playing a round to help special needs' school students in our community. Right now, more golfers are needed for the Sheriff’s School Resource Officers’ golf tournament that will be held this Saturday to fund an event for special needs’ students and to provide scholarships for graduating seniors.
Check in begins at 7 a.m. this Saturday morning at Cedar Crest Golf Course (7972 Mona Road), just past the Murfreesboro City Limits and near I-840. A shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided by Bob’s BBQ.
Prizes will be awarded for first place and second place. Golfers will earn prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Of course, the biggest gift is in helping the special needs’ students that will benefit from your round of golf!
The cost to participate is $300 for a four-person team. Golfers will also enjoy bidding during the silent auction. One of the key items up for grabs include a guitar signed by country music entertainer Carrie Underwood and Grammy-winning band Old Dominion.
