The event was on the historic downtown Murfreesboro square.
Winners of the Earth Day poster contest were announced during the event. This young lady made a poster that says “Love where you live.”
The Future Farmers of America (FFA) Stewarts Creek High School chapter was on hand and they held their annual plant sale at Earth Day on the square.
MTE gave away free popcorn to guests.
Vendors, many of which were non-profit organizations, had booths wrapped around the outside of the pre-civil war era courthouse.
Even dogs and puppies enjoyed this year's Earth Day celebration.
Roscoe Brown Heating and Air helped to educate residents on new environmentally friendly HVAC systems and more.
Children learned about recycling and placing waste in one basket, while separating the recyclable goods into another.
Children as young as 3 seemed to enjoy sitting in the kayaks that were set-up on a blue tarp that resembled water.
An MTE truck was on display.
Local firefighters were a hit and the young Earth Day fans enjoyed exploring the fire truck.
This electric Ford Lightning displays how there are more choices when it comes to EV, even trucks.
MTE had their electric griddle onsite, which was inside a pull-behind trailer. The MTE cooking crew was hard at work, grilling gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.
Live music performances were also part of the fun, which many guests enjoyed.
