(Click PLAY Above to Hear Podcast) Murfreesboro, TN - It was an enlightening morning on the WGNS Action Line as host Scott Walker sat down with Marc Kundar, FNP-BC, from the Otolaryngology (ENT) Department at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic (MMC) See larger photo of Kundar below this podcast description. Kundar, a proud Middle Tennessee State University alumnus with extensive experience in ear, nose, and throat care, brought a wealth of knowledge to a conversation that hits home for many in our community. Joined by Brandise Raikes, MMC’s Director of Marketing, the group dove into the physical and lifestyle impacts of chronic ENT issues. From the nagging frustrations of seasonal allergies to the more serious health risks of untreated sleep apnea, Kundar explained how these conditions are more than just minor inconveniences—they are critical factors in one's overall quality of life.

The conversation then shifted toward practical solutions and exciting community updates. Brandise Raikes shared the highly anticipated news that MMC’s new Lascassas Pike location is officially opening its doors on June 15, 2026. This modern, 40,000-square-foot facility will house Internal and Family Medicine, as well as on-site lab and radiology services, providing much-needed expansion for the growing Murfreesboro area. The discussion stayed lively as Scott relayed several listener texts, including questions about the "rebound effect" of over-the-counter nasal sprays. Kundar offered a gentle but firm warning about rebound congestion, noting that using certain sprays for more than three days can actually damage nasal tissue and worsen blockage, a condition known as rhinitis medicamentosa.
