MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) - This April, Greenhouse Ministries is opening its doors—and its heart—to the community in a brand‑new way. The organization is launching Deep Roots, New Growth, a new signature fundraiser designed to honor where the ministry began, celebrate what God is doing today, and cast a hopeful vision for the years ahead. Guests can choose between a breakfast gathering from 7–8 a.m. or a lunchtime session from noon–1 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, all hosted at The View at Fountains in Murfreesboro.
The name of the event fits perfectly with the story of Greenhouse Ministries, which began more than 25 years ago when Cliff and Jane Sharp felt called to create a place where people could grow—spiritually, emotionally, and practically. The couple often talked about how a greenhouse protects fragile plants, giving them the warmth, support, and nourishment they need to thrive. That image became the foundation of the nonprofit’s identity, and over the years, gardening language has continued to shape its programs, from “planting seeds of hope” to “cultivating dignity” in every person who walks through the door. With this new fundraiser titled Deep Roots, the ministry is leaning even further into that theme, celebrating the strong foundation built by decades of faithful service.
At the event, attendees will hear stories of transformation—moments when a class, a conversation, or a simple act of kindness helped someone take their next step. Greenhouse Ministries has always been known for meeting people where they are, offering support without judgment and treating every individual with dignity. Whether it’s providing food, clothing, job‑readiness classes, counseling, or simply a listening ear, the organization focuses on empowering people rather than defining them by their circumstances.
Cliff and Jane’s original vision was never about charity for charity’s sake. It was about relationship, community, and the belief that every person has God‑given value. That mission continues today, carried forward by staff, volunteers, and supporters who believe in helping neighbors grow stronger roots so they can flourish.
Tickets for both the breakfast and lunch sessions are $25, with registration available through Greenhouse Ministries. The event will be held at The View at Fountains, 1500 Medical Center Parkway.
