MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — Detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department are searching for a man accused of stealing approximately $10,000 worth of THC products from a South Church Street vape shop over the weekend. The vape shop sits between Koji Express and Captain D's Seafood on South Church Street in Murfreesboro.
Officers were dispatched to Galaxy Vape around 3:55 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, after receiving a report that an unidentified man threatened a store clerk before filling a backpack with jars of THC-A products and leaving the business.
According to police, the suspect was wearing a ski mask, black hoodie, black sweatpants, and slippers at the time of the theft.
Responding officers, assisted by the department’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drone team) and a K-9 unit from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, canvassed the surrounding area. Despite the coordinated search effort, authorities were unable to locate the suspect.
Investigators have not released additional details about the suspect’s identity. The case remains under active investigation.
