MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Providence Christian is searching for a new head football coach as Lebron Ferguson has decided to resign. After several years spent building the team from its inception in 2020, Ferguson announced Monday (Feb. 9th) that he will finish his tenure at the end of the current academic calendar.

His departure marks the end of an era that saw the program grow from its earliest stages into a presence in the postseason. The team made it to the semifinals this past season. Ferguson, who also had a stint in Murfreesboro from 1996-2007 at Oakland, has coached for over three decades - the past six at PCA. 

The school will form a committee to begin the search for his successor.
