Mon. (Feb. 2, 2026) 11:30AM The 53rd Annual GROUNDHOG DAY LUNCHEON at Middle Tennessee State University's Student Union Ballroom. This tradition of spotlighting Blue Raider Baseball began in 1973, where fans, former players and supporters to meet the Blue Raiders ahead of the upcoming season. The luncheon includes the presentation of the 39th Railbird Jacket Award, given annually to an individual who has made a significant impact on the Blue Raider baseball program. Last year's recipient was former Blue Raider and Major League infielder Jason Maxwell.

Tickets are now on sale:

$30 for baseball alumni
$35 general admission (advance purchase)
$250 per table (10 seats)

Each ticket includes both entry and lunch. As tradition dictates, the menu will feature ham hocks, cucumber-tomato salad, cornbread, white beans and ice cream or chocolate cake for dessert.

There will be a silent auction for prizes such as exclusive items as well as Blue Raider experiences. Table sponsorships are also available.
