MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Local traffic has returned to normal after a brief road closure at the intersection of Robert Rose Drive and Thompson Lane earlier today (Thursday).

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after an Atmos Energy gas line was damaged, prompting officials to shut down Robert Rose Drive at the North Thompson Lane junction. The closure was a precautionary measure while utility workers assessed the damage.

Atmos Energy crews arrived on the scene quickly to control the leak and initiate repairs. Authorities have confirmed that there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident.

While the roadway is now back open and traffic flow has since stabilized.
