MT. JULIET, TN (WGNS News) A routine Wednesday (1/7/2026) afternoon traffic stop in Mt. Juliet quickly escalated into a full search effort after the driver bolted from officers along Lebanon Road near Lookout Drive. Police say that upon checking with headquarter, they learned that the male was wanted for a suspended registration and no seatbelt. It took a sharp turn when the man behind the wheel jumped out and ran toward a nearby neighborhood and wooded area.
Mt. Juliet officers immediately set up a perimeter, bringing in additional units to track the suspect through backyards and tree lines just across Percy Priest Lake from Rutherford County. After a short search, the 38‑year‑old Hermitage man was taken into custody without further incident.
Once detained, officers learned he wasn’t just fleeing a traffic citation. The man was wanted in three counties on a long list of charges. In Davidson County, he faced probation violations tied to unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and evading arrest. Williamson County authorities were seeking him for probation violations involving Schedule II drugs and theft. Wilson County had an active warrant for failure to appear on a driving‑on‑suspended charge.
Police say the new charges didn’t stop there. During the arrest, officers discovered he was again driving on a suspended license and carrying dangerous fentanyl. He was booked into the Wilson County Jail on fresh charges of evading arrest, possession of a Schedule II drug, and driving on a suspended license.
