MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — A trailer stolen from a Murfreesboro construction site last month has been recovered, according to the Murfreesboro Police Department. The enclosed 12-foot pull-behind trailer, containing several thousand dollars’ worth of tools, was taken from an apartment complex construction site along John Bragg Highway. Investigators believe the theft occurred over the weekend of October 17.
Detectives quickly identified a possible suspect following the initial report, and while that individual was apprehended, the trailer itself remained missing—until now. Police confirmed that the trailer was located on Friday, November 21, 2025, in neighboring Bedford County. Along with the stolen property, officers also found a second suspect at the location, identified as a 34-year-old woman. She has since been charged in connection with the theft, according to an email sent to WGNS by the MPD.
Earlier in the investigation, authorities released a surveillance image believed to show the suspect vehicle—a 1990s Ford Ranger—possibly connected to the theft. Detectives said the truck may have been driven by one of the two individuals now facing charges.
The investigation remains active, and police are asking anyone with additional information to come forward. Detective Ferree is handling the case and can be reached at 629-201-5628.
