Free Legal Help at the Legal Aid Society

Murfreesboro, TN - The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest nonprofit law firm, is opening its Murfreesboro office to the public for a special open house. The event takes place Friday, December 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 526 North Walnut Street, and everyone in the community is welcome.

Attorneys from Legal Aid Society will be on hand to talk about their work providing free legal assistance to low-income residents in Murfreesboro and nearby areas. Whether you’re curious about civil legal issues or want to learn more about the organization’s mission, this is a great opportunity to connect and ask questions.

Honoring Community Champions

During the open house, Legal Aid Society will recognize the local partners, volunteers, and community leaders who help ensure equal treatment under the law. Murfreesboro’s own Cindy Gallaher will be honored for her outstanding service in expanding access to justice in the community.

Serving Middle Tennessee and Beyond

Legal Aid Society’s impact stretches across 48 counties, with offices in Clarksville, Columbia, Cookeville, Gallatin, Nashville, Oak Ridge, and Tullahoma. The nonprofit offers free civil legal representation and educational programs, helping people protect their rights, improve their well-being, and overcome poverty. Funding comes in part from United Way, supporting their mission of fairness and justice.
