Juveniles Injured Early Saturday Morning After High-Speed Pursuit Ends with Crash in La Vergne

Oct 11, 2025 at 04:15 pm by WGNS News

La Vergne, TN - Just before sunrise on Saturday (10/11/2025) morning, La Vergne Police Deputy Chief Brent Hatcher and K-9 Officer James Cunningham spotted a vehicle spinning donuts in the intersection of Heil Quaker Blvd. and Corporate Place. When the officers moved-in to initiate a traffic stop, the driver took off, leading officers on a pursuit down Heil Quaker Blvd.

The chase ended abruptly when the fleeing vehicle veered into rough terrain and wrecked about 120 yards from the roadway, landing just within Metro Nashville Police jurisdiction.

Though the engine was still running, the car was empty when officers reached it. That raised immediate concern for the safety of those who had been inside.

Working with Metro Nashville Police, Hatcher and Cunningham began combing the area. Not long after, Metro officers located two individuals who matched the suspects’ descriptions. They were on foot at a nearby business. Both were juveniles and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

The investigation is still active, and NewsRadio WGNS will keep you informed information is available.
