In Murfreesboro, the event returns after a four-year hiatus and will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Oaklands Park, located at 427 Roberts Street. Hosted by the Murfreesboro Police Department, the evening promises family fun with activities such as a Touch-A-Truck display, games, and opportunities to meet local officers in a relaxed, friendly setting. It’s all free and open to the public, with the hope of reviving a deeper sense of connection between residents and those MPD protects and serves.

Meanwhile, just down the road in Smyrna, festivities kick off from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smyrna Police Department, 400 Enon Springs Road East. Smyrna’s version offers giveaways, music, tours, and interactive exhibits that highlight the role of law enforcement in the community. In addition to fun, the Smyrna Police Department is collecting school supply donations during the event, lending a helping hand to students as the academic year approaches.

Although the times and locations vary slightly, both events share the same mission: to foster trust, friendship, and mutual understanding between police and the people of Rutherford County. National Night Out isn’t just about fun—it’s about creating a safer, more united community.

Whether you stop by Oaklands Park or visit the Smyrna Police Department, the spirit of togetherness will be front and center. Bring the family, meet your local officers, and be part of something bigger.
