Mt. Juliet, TN - Neighboring Mt. Juliet has earned the recognition as one of Tennessee's safest cities, a distinction that reflects that community’s commitment to public safety and proactive law enforcement. Chief of Police Michael Mullins attributes the city’s security to a strong collaboration between citizens and emergency responders. In fact, he notes that a routine traffic stop Wednesday (6/11/2025) on I-40 boldly shows why it's working.
The Proof is in the Pudding, or TRAFFIC STOP!
Officers conducted a traffic stop on I-40 for a window tint violation. The routine stop quickly escalated into a significant arrest.
The driver, a 32-year-old Nashville man, was found to have active warrants for a felony probation violation related to an aggravated assault charge, as well as failure to appear on a theft charge. Additionally, he was wanted in Florida, though authorities there declined extradition.
Chief Mullins praised his officers for their vigilance, stating, “The dedication of our officers has resulted in another wanted individual being taken off the streets. We are proud of their continued commitment to keeping our community safe.”
