MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) – After 12 seasons at the helm, Coach Jamie Carver has announced his resignation as head coach of the Middle Tennessee Christian School (MTCS) baseball program. A 2005 graduate of MTCS, Carver’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Cougars’ success both on and off the field.

Carver began his coaching journey as an assistant with the Cougars from 2006 to 2013 before taking over the program in 2014. During his tenure as head coach, he compiled a 193–176 record, led the team to five region tournament appearances, coached six TSWA All-State players, and mentored 2021 TBCA Mr. Baseball recipient JD McCracken. Most recently, he was named the 2024 DII District 3 Coach of the Year.

Reflecting on his time with MTCS, Carver expressed gratitude for the relationships and memories built throughout his 25 years with the program. "I am extremely proud of what MTCS Baseball has become over the years and am thankful to have played a part in that growth," he shared. "It’s now time for me to focus on the most important roles I have—being more present as a husband and dad."

MTCS Athletic Director Jason Piercey praised Carver for his dedication and impact. "We deeply appreciate Coach Carver for his unwavering leadership, inspiring excellence and growth both on and off the field. His commitment has left a lasting legacy on his players and the MTCS baseball community."

The search for the next head coach will begin immediately as MTCS looks to build upon the strong foundation Carver has established.
