NASHVILLE, TN - One of two men found murdered in a wooded area near Percy Priest Lake has been identified as 19-year-old Amir Landan Wilkerson of Alabaster, Alabama. Authorities confirmed Wilkerson’s identity after discovering a wallet on his body. His family reported last seeing him Sunday afternoon in Alabaster, a city located just south of Birmingham. The two men wereshot multiple times, according to Metro Police
The bodies were found Monday on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property between the Lincoya Bay Apartments and Percy Priest Lake. Both men had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to Metro Nashville Police.
While investigators have not released the identity of the second victim, efforts are ongoing to determine who he was and how he might have known Wilkerson. Authorities are also working to piece together why the two men were in Nashville and who they may have been with before their deaths.
Police say the case remains an active investigation, with detectives pursuing leads and seeking any information from the public that might help identify those responsible for the double homicide.
