MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Firefighters with the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) responded swiftly to a residential blaze early Sunday morning on Britannia Way, helping prevent what could have been a more devastating outcome. The fire occurred in a subdivision located off Central Valley Road—an area that was once outside Murfreesboro’s city limits but now includes several growing neighborhoods.

Engine 7 was the first unit to arrive on the scene. Upon arrival, crews found the home filled with smoke. Firefighters quickly made entry and, within seconds, located the source of the fire in a bedroom. The fire was promptly extinguished, preventing it from spreading to other areas of the house.
