La Vergne, TN - Authorities in La Vergne are urging residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity after a coordinated effort led to the successful arrest of a wanted individual.
Between January and March, the La Vergne Narcotics Unit investigated a local resident in connection with criminal activity. On April 8, 2025, investigators learned the suspect had fled from Smyrna Police during a traffic stop, prompting an arrest warrant for Felony Evading.
Recognizing the need for collaboration, Smyrna Police sought assistance from La Vergne personnel. Their combined efforts culminated in the suspect’s capture on April 11, 2025 in La Vergne.
Officials praised the operation as a model of interagency teamwork. “We remain committed to holding criminals accountable and ensuring the safety of our community,” a statement from law enforcement read.
La Vergne Police Chief Christopher Moews (pictured right) emphasized the importance of community involvement, urging residents to report suspicious behavior. “Your help plays a vital role in keeping our neighborhoods safe,” Moews said. “Together, we can make a real difference.”
Again, Smyrna and La Vergne Police worked together and found the subject this past week in La Vergne. Reports show that both departments made the arrest possible.
