Murfreesboro, TN - Excitement filled the air Thursday morning (4/10/2025) as eager shoppers lined up around Trader Joe’s at 2305 Medical Center Parkway. The grand opening ceremony kicked off just before 8:00 a.m. with dignitaries welcoming the grocery chain to Murfreesboro.

The new 9,400 square foot Trader Joe’s, known for its unique selection of private-label groceries and affordable prices, has officially made its mark in Murfreesboro, becoming the seventh location in Tennessee. 

The morning's excitement was raised even more with the Siegel High School marching band.

On an earlier WGNS' broadcast, Mayor McFarland praised Trader Joe’s for its commitment to the community, particularly its efforts in infrastructure development. "We have some tremendous corporate citizens here in the Heart of Tennessee," noting that they built a new road behind the store that connects Robert Rose Drive to the four-lane divided roadway leading into The Avenue of Murfreesboro.

Trader Joe’s Store Captain Jeff Carter, alongside a dedicated team of sixty-five newly hired Crew Members, welcomed customers into the store’s warm and friendly atmosphere. As part of its mission to build neighborhood connections, the store has prioritized local hiring.

The Murfreesboro Trader Joe’s is now open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering residents a fresh and eclectic shopping experience filled with the brand’s signature products and customer-first approach. With the store now a reality, locals can finally enjoy the Trader Joe’s shopping experience right in their backyard.
