Law and Order: RCSO Deputy Laura Kunce
- Citizens Police Academy class begins April 15, 2025 and is 6-9PM Tuesday evenings for 10-weeks. The Rutherford County Sheriffs Office offers one class per year and it is limited to 25 persons. There are only 5 position remaining, so if you're interested, phone Deputy Kunce quickly at 615-904-3065. The class is FREE!
- Volunteers are needed for the SCAN Program (Senior Citizens Awareness Network). As a volunteer, you would help seniors with chores they can no longer accomplish, such as climbing a ladder and changing light bulbs, odd jobs, and sometimes--just checking on them to make certain that they are OK. - PUBLIC SAFETY CADETS is a program that teaches students what it's like to be in law enforcement. It used to be an "Explorer" group, but that was changed to "Safety Cadets". This is for ages 14-21 and they meet on Thursdays. Phone 615-904-3065 for more information.
- Deputy Kunce is talking with individuals who would like to learn about a career in law enforcement. They are currently hiring for applicants for (1) detention area and (2) dispatch, telecommunications. In late April, 2025, they will interview for patrol officers. For information, phone Dep.
