CHEATHAM COUNTY, TN – Fentanyl is believed to have played a major role in the 2022 deaths of a Middle Tennessee husband and wife. As a result, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) launched an inquiry that ultimately led them to the alleged source of the lethal drugs.

This week, the TBI announced an arrest in connection with the case. Following an extensive investigation, special agents with the Criminal Investigation Division charged a Nashville man with two counts of second-degree murder on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Initially, the investigation began on September 2, 2022, when coworkers of 52-year-old Anthony Pedroncelli (DOB: 06/16/1970) became concerned after he failed to show up for work. When he remained absent four days later, his colleagues went to his home, where they discovered his wife, 50-year-old Melissa Logalbo, deceased. Deputies with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department responded and found Pedroncelli dead as well.

At the request of 23rd Judicial District Attorney General Ray Crouch, TBI agents took over the investigation 4-days after the husband and wife were found dead. Authorities later determined that both victims died from a combination of fentanyl and cocaine toxicity. Further inquiries led investigators to Kevin Clark (DOB: 05/16/1981), who was identified as the individual believed to be responsible for supplying the fatal drugs.

On Monday, March 17, 2025, Clark, who is 43-years-of-age, was booked into the Cheatham County Jail and charged with two counts of Second Degree Murder. His bond was been set at $100,000. As of Tuesday evening, Clark remains behind bars
