NWS: EF-1 Tornado Damage in Christiana

The National Weather Service has conducted a preliminary storm survey in southeastern Rutherford County and determined it was an EF-1 tornado that did some of the damage Saturday (March 15, 2025). Meteorologists on the ground have determined the tornado had 95 mph winds, 300 yards wide and was traveled at least 4.5 miles from Bedford into Rutherford Counties. There will be more specific released in the coming days about the storm survey from NWS.

On Saturday, March 15th, 2025, a line of showers and thunderstorms moved 
through Middle TN. As the north-south line of storms crossed over US Hwy
41A, it intensified causing a tornado to touch down between US Hwy 41A 
and US 231.
