MURFREESBORO – After operating from their location at 910 Ridgely Road since 2007, Ideas Tees and Raider Tees are preparing for a major move. The relocation comes as a result of the building’s sale, leaving no option for the businesses to remain at their current address.

Now, the businesses are gearing up for a fresh start at their new location: 111 East MTCS Road, Suites C, I, and J. That's across the street from Middle Tennessee Christian School and just off Memorial Boulevard. The move, scheduled to begin next week on March 10th, is expected to be completed by March 24th. The new site offers greater visibility from Memorial Boulevard, a promising factor for the continued success of Ideas Tees’ screen printing and embroidery services, as well as potential growth for the Raider Tees retail store.

Agrideas, a marketing company for farm supply corporations, was founded in 1985 by John Brockwell. Over the years, the company built a strong customer base, including Tennessee Farmers Co-op, Pacific Molasses, Sweetlix, and Growmark. In 1988, Brockwell expanded into screen printing with the creation of Ideas Tees, which has since provided custom apparel for local schools, youth organizations, and businesses.

A pivotal partnership began in 1992 when Ideas Tees joined forces with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) to supply championship merchandise. For over two decades, Brockwell and his team attended all state championship events, offering a variety of gear such as t-shirts, hoodies, and hats. However, the extensive travel and long hours eventually led to their decision to retire from attending championship events in person.

In 2009, the business expanded further with the launch of Raider Tees, which later included operating Lightning’s Locker Room for the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Athletic Department. Although the company chose not to renew its lease for the locker room in 2014 due to health concerns, it continued serving the university’s athletic and academic departments through its Raider Tees division.

As moving day approaches, customers can anticipate a seamless transition with continued dedication to quality service from the Brockwell family. The relocation marks a new chapter for the longstanding local business, ensuring its legacy remains strong in Murfreesboro.
