Rutherford County Detectives Seek Information on Tuesday Home Invasion in Florence Road Area

Rutherford County, TN – Two unidentified individuals broke into a home on Heatherwood Drive off Florence Road on Tuesday, stealing multiple items from the unsuspecting owners, according to a statement from Detective Jeff VerBruggen of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. For anyone unfamiliar with the area, Heatherwood runs parallel with Interstate 24 in the Blackman community and is a roadway that ends with a turnaround, or dead-end, that is less than a mile in length. 

Currently, and in an effort to gather more information, Detective VerBruggen has reached out to the community for assistance in identifying the suspects involved in this alarming incident. "The Sheriff’s Office asks homeowners in the Heatherwood subdivision / neighborhood to review any video footage that may show anyone on foot matching the description of the individuals,," he stated. Residents with potential footage or any information regarding the break-in are encouraged to come forward.
