MURFREESBORO, TN - A fire broke out at a homeless camp near the CSX railroad tracks and Medical Center Parkway this past week, prompting a swift response from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue crews. The firefighters faced several challenges in accessing the scene due to the camp’s location and hazardous conditions, including large amounts of trash and propane tanks present in the fire.
Firefighters navigated through thick underbrush to reach the blaze, demonstrating their commitment to extinguishing the fire quickly and safely. Fortunately, despite the difficult circumstances, the fire was brought under control, and traffic on Medical Center Parkway was only briefly affected during the response.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, and an investigation is underway by the Fire Marshal’s Office. Authorities continue to work to clarify the situation and ensure the safety of the surrounding area.
