MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee Christian School (MTCS) is preparing for a major transition in its athletic department as two of its head coaches—Hannah Jones and Greg Eubanks—have announced their resignations within the same week.
Hannah Jones, the head coach of the MTCS varsity girls’ basketball team, officially stepped down this week (February 18th) after four seasons. Under her leadership, the Lady Cougars achieved significant success, including two state runner-up finishes and strong performances at the district and regional levels. Athletic Director Jason Piercey expressed his gratitude, stating, “We appreciate Coach Jones for her dedication and contributions to the Lady Cougar basketball program over the past four years. We wish her the very best as she steps into this next chapter.”
Just days earlier, on February 14, Coach Greg Eubanks also announced his resignation after leading the MTCS boys’ basketball and cross country teams for three seasons. Reflecting on his time with the school, Eubanks shared, “I am so grateful for the past three years. I have grown as a coach and a man. I am thankful for the relationships I've developed with the students and fellow faculty members.”
With both programs now in search of new leadership, MTCS is focused on finding coaches who will continue fostering a faith-driven, competitive sports environment. The school remains committed to preparing student-athletes for success both on and off the court.
