RECALLS: Well over 150-thousand pounds of meat products have been recalled in recent days, and we will start the news with the 33,899 pounds of beef tallow that was added to the list, according to information released by the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Common Sense Soap, located in North Walpole, N.H., is recalling approximately 33,899 pounds of beef tallow processed and packaged on behalf of Lady May Tallow without federal inspection, as announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The affected beef tallow products, produced between October 16, 2024, and February 6, 2025, include jars and tubs labeled as “PREMIUM QUALITY GOODS Grass-fed beef TALLOW Lady May ALL NATURAL.”

These products lack the USDA mark of inspection, and Common Sense Soap does not have the federal authorization to produce food items. The issue was identified after a local health department notified FSIS about the products. Although no adverse reactions have been confirmed, consumers should discard these items or return them to the point of purchase, as they may pose safety concerns. FSIS continues to monitor the recall to ensure that consumers are informed and the products are removed from circulation. See Product Labels, Images AND MORE HERE.

The products were produced using an egg wash, which contains egg, a known allergen, that is not declared on the product label. FSIS is issuing this public health alert to ensure that consumers with allergies to eggs are aware that this product should not be consumed.
