LA VERGNE, TN - On Saturday (2/8/2025) evening, La Vergne Fire Rescue dispatched units to the Mission Hills developments on Waldron Road. That is where a neighborhood shopping center is being developed on Waldron Road at Blair Road.

The development is on 21-acres in La Vergne, TN and will include a grocery store, restaurants, medical clinics, daycare, fire station and other retail services. The construction site is between Old Nashville Highway and Mason Road and near Rock Springs Elementary School.

Overnight Saturday into Sunday, La Vergne Fire Rescue units were on-the-scene, along with Almaville Volunteer Fire department providing mutual aid with a water tender and brush truck at the mulch fire.

Training Grounds: In an unrelated story from LaVergne, officials with the fire department announced in January they are continuing construction of new training grounds. Most recently, they have completed the initial construction phase of a new temporary training facility near Mason Road and Bain Drive. According to La Vergne Fire Rescue’s social media pages, “This facility will provide our firefighters space to conduct live burn as well as routine training evolutions.”
