RUTHERFORD COUNTY – The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office extended heartfelt gratitude to the River Oaks Church Life Group for their generous contribution, which ensured a joyous Christmas for twenty senior citizens this year. Members of the church group purchased and donated Christmas presents as part of their collaboration with the Sheriff’s Senior Citizens Awareness Network (SCAN).

The SCAN program is dedicated to supporting the county's seniors, many of whom live alone without nearby family. Volunteers from SCAN are now busy spreading holiday cheer by delivering these thoughtful gifts, bringing smiles and festive warmth to their lives.

The Sheriff’s Office praised the kindness shown by the group, which has helped nurture the Christmas spirit for those who might otherwise be without.

This season of giving highlights community compassion, and illustrates how collective efforts can significantly uplift and brighten the lives of seniors in Rutherford County.
