MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Police continue their intensive investigation into a violent shooting incident that occurred late Saturday night outside the Clarion Inn near Old Fort Parkway. The attack involved an unidentified gunman firing multiple rounds into a vehicle with two occupants, who have been confirmed as critically injured.
Reports indicate the shooting occurred approximately 45 minutes before midnight, with the victims parked beside the Clarion Inn, a location just behind a nearby KFC restaurant. Investigators suggest the victims may have been followed into the parking lot by the shooter accompanied by several others before the gunfire erupted. In a frantic attempt to escape, the victims' vehicle collided with a retaining wall after the driver, weakened by injuries, lost control.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victims in the hotel’s front parking lot. Paramedics promptly transported them to a local hospital where they remain in critical condition. The motivation behind this shooting and the identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed, adding urgency to the ongoing investigation.
