Over the past 12 months in the Nashville–Murfreesboro–Franklin area, 1 in 4 fatal crashes involved a DUI driver, according to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. The department also reported that 1 in 6 serious injury crashes involved a DUI driver between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024. Additionally, data reveals that 76 out of every 100 DUI drivers involved in motor vehicle crashes are men.

This year, as the clock counts down and we welcome 2025, local law enforcement is delivering a clear message: don’t drink and drive. Partygoers and celebration enthusiasts are urged to act responsibly and avoid becoming another statistic in DUI-related fatalities.
