RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - At the end of this month, another year will be behind us and Greenhouse Ministries will begin their journey into their 26th anniversary of helping others... That was Cliff Sharp who founded Greenhouse with his wife Jane in 1999.

Most recently, the local nonprofit helped families in the area celebrate Thanksgiving by providing everything they needed for a home-cooked meal... Greenhouse handed out at least 600 turkeys, along with green beans, corn, and other essentials. But these weren’t pre-cooked meals that were given away — instead, Greenhouse handed out the ingredients that were meant to be prepared by the families in their own kitchens. The goal was simple: to bring families together.

Volunteers of all ages showed up to help with the Thanksgiving giveaway...

Year after year, Sharp hears heartfelt stories from mothers, fathers, siblings, and others who share how the meal they prepare—using ingredients provided by Greenhouse—gives them the opportunity to gather with family and friends whereas before, they lacked the money to afford such a blessing. Often, these meals become a catalyst for rekindling family bonds.

Today, Cliff's daughter Christy Sanford runs the ministry as the non-profit heads into their 26th year of service. Greenhouse is located in downtown Murfreesboro at 307 S Academy St. You can learn more online at GreenhouseMin.org.
