The Life I Now Live is an inspirational story, the fourth of Carol's novels set in the Muslim world and written under Carol's pseudonym Um Daoud. The story provides an insider’s view into the culture and complexities of life for those who consider stepping outside the bounds of religious norms and helps Christians better understand and pray for those who daily live out their faith in Christ despite their struggles. Um Daoud introduces readers to a wide variety of characters who reflect the multi-dimensional issues confronted by Muslim-background believers in our world today.

When Serving Gets Tough: A Thirty-Day Devotional for Missionaries makes a great Christmas gift for new and seasoned missionaries. It offers encouragement and wisdom for anyone struggling with the demands of cross-cultural service. Whether you’re facing doubts, loneliness, or exhaustion, this devotional provides a balm for weary souls. Individuals and churches supporting missionaries will find this devotional a perfect gift for those they know and serve.

Carol Ghattas sees this book as part of her calling to pour back into a new generation of Christian workers. She has lived what she writes, which is reflected in this book, her blog, nonfiction work, and novels. Ghattas is a sought-after speaker on Islam, missions, and other topics. You can connect with her for speaking engagements through her website, lifeinexile.net.
