The incident occurred on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 5:33 a.m. at the 7-Eleven Exxon on South Church Street. Surveillance footage captured four suspects using a stolen 2006 silver GMC Sierra pickup truck to smash through the store’s front glass. Once inside, one of the thieves wrapped a cable around the ATM. The driver then sped forward, yanking the ATM from its foundation. The group quickly loaded the machine into the bed of the truck before fleeing the scene.

At the time of the theft, several customers were pumping gas outside, adding to the brazen nature of the crime.

The stolen pickup was later found abandoned on Rutherford Boulevard, along with the damaged ATM. Investigators determined the truck had been stolen from a residence on Veterans Parkway.

In the days leading up to the incident, surveillance video captured the same stolen truck along with several other vehicles behind a church on Veterans Parkway. Among the vehicles seen were a stolen Chevy Suburban, a blue Dodge Charger, and a dark gray Infiniti SUV. While the Suburban has since been recovered, the Charger and Infiniti remain missing.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the remaining vehicles to come forward. If you have details that may help the investigation, contact Detective Ed Gorham at 629-201-5507.

The Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate this case.
