The semifinalists were selected by a committee of statewide sports writers based on their performance during the 2024 regular season, with academics and character also taken into consideration. High school head coaches and members of the media were involved in nominating the finalists.

The Tennessee Titans have released five semifinalists for each classification, as well as for the Kicker of the Year category. Division I includes six classifications, while Division II is divided into three.

On Tuesday, November 26, at 6:30pm CT/7:30pm ET, Mike Keith and Titans head coach Brian Callahan will announce the three finalists for each award. This announcement will be streamed on the Tennessee Titans website, app, and social media channels at 7pm CT/8pm ET. The finalists will be invited to the awards luncheon at Nissan Stadium, where the winners will be revealed.

The prestigious awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, recognizing the top football players in nine classifications of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA). Additionally, the state’s top kicker will be honored with a Mr. Football Award, regardless of classification.

“We are very excited and appreciative about being involved with the Tennessee Titans for the 18th consecutive year,” stated Mark Reeves, Executive Director of the TSSAA. “They have helped make the recognition of these 50 student-athletes, their families, and schools possible. The sponsorship of the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards and numerous contributions to high schools across the state have meant a great deal to the member schools of the TSSAA.”

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Mr. Football Awards, which celebrate Tennessee’s best high school football talent. Winners in each category will receive a Mr. Football trophy, while the two other finalists will be honored with plaques. Semifinalists who do not advance will receive certificates.

Mike Keith, the play-by-play voice of the Tennessee Titans, will serve as the emcee for the awards presentation. A live video stream of the ceremony will be available on the Titans website.
