The arrest unfolded when Mt. Juliet officers clocked a vehicle speeding at 91 mph in a 70 mph zone. During the stop, police learned that the passenger had an active felony warrant with full extradition in all 50 states, linked to a major shoplifting case at a Kohl’s store in Rutherford County.

Further investigation at the scene led officers to discover roughly $5,899 worth of suspected stolen merchandise, primarily from Kohl’s, believed to be from a recent theft. The woman was subsequently arrested on the outstanding warrant. Law enforcement, in coordination with Kohl’s representatives, is now exploring additional charges related to the recovered items.

Mt. Juliet Police expressed appreciation for the officers’ proactive approach and investigative work, emphasizing how effective collaboration with surrounding communities is crucial in crime prevention.
