MURFREESBORO, TN - A crash that occurred Tuesday evening around 5:30 p.m. on Thompson Lane raised concern among those who drove past the incident due to the scene's devastating appearance. A silver Toyota 4Runner veered off the roadway near StorPlace Self Storage, snapping a utility pole in half. One part of the pole was left dangling from the power lines, while the other half lay on the ground. Miraculously, the driver of the SUV was not seriously injured, according to Murfreesboro Police. However, motorists passing the scene feared the worst when they witnessed the aftermath, which was near the intersection of Robert Rose Drive (See Video Below Article).
Another accident on Wednesday morning appeared just as serious. The crash, which occurred around 7:36 a.m., caused significant traffic delays. It happened at the intersection of South Church Street and Porter Street, near Star Auto. A black Toyota 4Runner collided with another vehicle, flipping the 4Runner onto its side. Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers informed WGNS that the driver managed to climb out of his overturned SUV, and there were no injuries (No Photos Available).
