Amelia’s Closet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women by providing professional attire and career development resources, is proud to celebrate its 10th anniversary. For the past decade, Amelia’s Closet has been a beacon of hope and transformation for women facing significant challenges in their personal and professional lives.
Two years ago, Amelia's Closet expanded its program by opening Liberty's Station, a facility serving individuals with employment obstacles through meaningful job training and placement, focusing on developing their God-given potential.
Since its founding in 2014, Amelia’s Closet has assisted more than 750 women in breaking the poverty cycle and has gifted over $184,000 worth of clothing and makeovers in the Middle Tennessee area.
The organization provides women with more than just clothing; it offers a supportive community and essential resources that prepare them for success in the workforce.
“We are humbled and amazed to be able to celebrate this milestone and reflect on the incredible impact Amelia’s Closet has made over the past ten years,” said Jody Powers, Founder and Executive Director of Amelia’s Closet. “Our mission of empowering women to break poverty cycles and build brighter futures for themselves and their families would not be possible without the generous support of our community. Thank you to our incredible volunteers and donors. You are truly helping change lives."
“Strength & Honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” – Proverbs 31:25. This verse encapsulates the spirit of Amelia’s Closet, where women are not only clothed in professional attire but also in strength and dignity, empowering them to face the future with confidence.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, Amelia’s Closet will host a special Project Restyle 2.0 fundraiser April 29th , 2025 at Liberty’s Station. Amelia’s Closet invites the community to join the 10-year celebration and support its mission to empower women to thrive in the workforce by considering an end-of-year donation.
Tickets for Project Restyle 2.0 will be available in 2025. Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses and individuals who want to contribute to this important cause.
