In Nashville, an investigation by detectives from the Metro Nashville Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit led to last night’s arrest of Alejandro Jarquin, 25, on six counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
Several tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children revealed Jarquin was the alleged owner of multiple Kik messaging app accounts that uploaded and shared child sex abuse material over the last five months. Each account was used to share explicit material at least 25 times with one account containing more than 200 files of young boys engaged in sexual activity.
Jarquin was taken into custody by Violent Crimes detectives at his Midtown residence. He remains jailed on $300,000 bond.
