RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - On Friday, November 1st, area residents, business and community leaders will play a game of golf "Fore" the kids of Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center™. The Annual Special Kids Fall Golf Classic, presented by SRM Concrete, will be held at Cedar Crest Golf Club. The event features two scramble tee times: one at 7:30 AM and one at 1:00 PM. Lunch is provided by Chick-fil-A of Murfreesboro, and evening refreshments are provided by Buffalo Wild Wings.
This event also includes a unique games-of-skill package with big prizes!
All proceeds from the tournament go directly to support Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center™. Executive Directo Chris Truelove told WGNS… The community support helps bridge the gap between insurance reimbursement and medical service costs, allowing Special Kids to continue as the only not-for-profit outpatient therapy provider for children in Rutherford County.

About Special Kids: In 1998, motivated by the love of Jesus Christ, Carrie Goodwin, and her father, Dick Kleinau, founded Special Kids. Discouraged by observing the harsh realities that the families of children with special needs face, Dick and Carrie envisioned a place where all families and their children in need of our services would be welcomed with Christian love and healing arms. Her father, who himself had a grandson with special needs, captured Carrie's vision. Working alongside her father and with the financial support of the Christy Houston Foundation, Special Kids opened in September, 1998.
