Murfreesboro, TN - The body of a woman was discovered around 6:00 o'clock Sunday (08/18/24) morning along a busy roadway in Murfreesboro. The female was located at the curb in the 800 block of N. Thompson Lane, which is near Medical Center Parkway. 

Investigators believe she may have been struck during the over-night hours. She was pronounced deceased-at-the-scene. The case is being investigated by the MPD Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) and the incident is labeled as a fatal hit and run - pedestrian crash. Detectives are following up on a few leads, and are checking surveillance videos at area businesses, but need your help in solving this case.

Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers concluded, "If you were in the area and saw what occurred or if you were driving in the area and hit something, and are not sure what it was, please contact police at 615-893-1311."
