(RUTHERFORD COUNTY) - The heat is going to make a big comeback this week along with some strong storm changes. The National Weather Service has already issued a Heat Advisory for Rutherford County and much of Middle Tennessee for Tuesday. They also say one will be needed for both Wednesday and Thursday. Heat index values up to 110°. The heat will back off - some - over the weekend.
A marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) for strong/severe storms is in place through Tuesday night. Best chance for storms are to the northeast of Rutherford County but still can't be ruled out.
Scattered storms will most likely occur in the heat of the afternoon. Also, some storm clusters that form over Missouri and Illinois may come our way in the overnight hours tonight and Tuesday night. Gusty winds will be the main concern. Up to an inch of rain is forecasted for our area.
