Shelbyville Man Missing After Arriving in New Orleans

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating Thrysten Garrett, a 21-year-old man from Shelbyville, Tennessee. Garrett boarded a bus in Tennessee to travel to Louisiana and spoke to a relative at around 10 AM on June 8, 2024, confirming his arrival in New Orleans. However, he has not been seen or heard from since that time.

Reports indicate that Garrett went to New Orleans to pick up his kids. Sadly, he never arrived to pick them up. In New Orleans, he was thought to have traveled to the Sixth District, before he went missing. To date, Garrett has not responded to telephone calls, text messages, social media posts, or emails. His family and authorities are concerned for his safety and well-being.

The young man stands around 6' tall and has multiple tattoos, including a tattoo on his lip, left side of his neck, and one on each forearm that read "Rip Spooney" and "Rip Papa." He also has a turtle shell tattooed on his neck.
