No Injuries in Vehicle Fire along I-24 on Sunday

SMYRNA, TN - A vehicle fire sent first responders to Interstate 24 East on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred between the Sam Ridley Parkway and Almaville Road exits at around 3:45 PM. Firefighters from the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department were the first fire crew on the scene and quickly doused the flames shortly after their arrival. After the fire was out, it was evident that the small sedan was a total loss.

In addition to the volunteer fire department responding to the blaze, crews from Rutherford County Fire & Rescue were also at the there. Also responding were the Tennessee Highway Patrol and a Deputy from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office. There's no word on what caused the blaze and no other vehicles were involved in the incident on Sunday (June 23, 2024). The THP confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
