11-Year-Old Victim in Shopping Mall Restroom Recording

FRANKLIN, TN - It’s believed the culprit arrived at a popular Williamson County shopping mall in a grey or silver SUV. There, Franklin authorities say the man was accused of illicitly recording a minor using a restroom in Cool Springs Galleria. The incident in question was reported on Saturday afternoon, May 4th.

Franklin Police are now actively seeking details that will lead them to the subject. According to reports from investigators, the victim, an 11-year-old boy, was utilizing the men’s restroom when he noticed a cell phone sneakily maneuvered beneath the stall, aimed in his direction.

A media release received by WGNS on Tuesday (05/14/2024) described the suspect as a white male with distinctive features, including long blonde hair and a black beard. The individual was reportedly clad in a grey long-sleeve t-shirt, black pants, purple hat, and grey Nike sneakers with orange trim.

Surveillance footage evidently captured the suspect's movements within the vicinity, offering potential leads in the ongoing investigation. You can see the photo released by Franklin P-D above this article. 

Authorities are urging anyone in Middle Tennessee who have pertinent information regarding the unknown man to come forward as soon as possible.  If you have details, the Franklin Police Department can be reached at (615) 794-2513. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information that leads to an arrest.
