MURFREESBORO, TN - In Murfreesboro, the historic Cannonsburgh Village is gearing up to host its much-anticipated 48th annual Pioneer Days event on Saturday, April 27th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Set against the charming backdrop of the picturesque village, this event promises a delightful experience for visitors of all ages.

With over 70 vendors expected to participate, attendees can immerse themselves in a variety of historical demonstrations, including blacksmithing, basket weaving, woodworking, and more. Handmade crafts, jams, jellies, and lunch from food trucks will be available for browsing and sampling, adding to the festival's vibrant atmosphere.

Pioneer Days isn't just about shopping and demonstrations; it's a celebration of early Tennessee life spanning from the 1830s to the 1930s. Historic Cannonsburgh Village features a range of authentic structures, including a gristmill, schoolhouse, general store, and blacksmith's shop, providing visitors a glimpse into the region's rich heritage.

Live musical performances by the Jake Leg Stompers and Stones River Bluegrass will entertain guests throughout the day, while local cloggers will showcase their talents. Sheila Hodges, Recreation Facility Coordinator, expressed her excitement for the event, highlighting the unique experience that Pioneer Days offers at Cannonsburgh Village.

In addition to the main attractions, Pioneer Days will feature an art show display and sale, a car show, and the ever-popular hayrides traversing the village.
