In the first incident, Rucker is accused of possessing ammunition connected to a fatal shooting on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Roasted restaurant in Salemtown. The shooting left one man dead and several others injured. Rucker, who has a prior felony conviction, is also facing state charges of Criminal Homicide for his alleged role in this violent episode.

The second incident involves a road rage encounter on August 26, 2023, in Murfreesboro. Rucker allegedly passed another driver illegally, cut him off, and forced the driver to brake suddenly to avoid a crash. After stopping his vehicle, Rucker is said to have confronted the other driver and brandished a firearm. A search of Rucker’s residence by police reportedly led to the discovery of several firearms, which he is prohibited from possessing as a convicted felon.

The investigation involves multiple agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Murfreesboro Police Department, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Zachary T. Hinkle is handling the prosecution.
