MURFREESBORO, Tenn - Murfreesboro Police are searching for man who robbed the CB&S Bank on S. Church Street this Friday morning. According to the MPD, the holdup occurred at 9:56 this morning (March 8, 2024).
Larry Flowers, Public Information Officer for the police department, told WGNS News that the robber was armed with a revolver when he entered the bank and demanded money. After the armed robbery, the subject left the bank on foot, but detectives did not release the direction of where the man may have walked.
As with any robbery, it is important to know what the suspect was wearing when he fled the scene. In this case, it appeared as if the culprit was wearing a green hoodie, black ski mask, gloves, and a white surgical mask. Because surgical masks have become common in these post-COVID times, most people wearing masks don't stand out as they once did.
A K9 unit was called to the scene but inclement weather prevented a successful track. The bank robbery is currently under investigation by the MPD Criminal Investigations Division with assistance from the FBI.
