With a focus on imparting essential firefighting skills and fostering teamwork and leadership abilities, the academy aims to ignite the interest of participants in pursuing a career in the fire service. Teen cadets will engage in various activities, including fire extinguisher training, hose stream techniques, and equipment usage. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to tour a fire station and the dispatch center.

Throughout the academy, cadets will witness several demonstrations, covering topics such as extrication, fire investigation, search and rescue operations, live fire exercises, and repelling techniques. The hands-on nature of these activities ensures that participants gain valuable insight into the demands and responsibilities of firefighting.

Space for the academy is limited, with only 20 spots available for applicants. Interested teens can register for the program at a cost of $25 per cadet. Upon completion of the academy, participants will take part in a graduation ceremony, celebrating their achievements and newfound knowledge in firefighting.
